中国地理标志
地理标志产品，是指产自特定地域，所具有的质量、声誉或其他特性本质上取决于该产地的自然因素和人文因素，经审核批准以地理名称进行命名的产品。
地理标志产品包括：
（一）来自该地区的种植、养殖产品。
（二）原材料全部来自该地区或部分来自其他地区，并在该地区按照特定工艺生产和加工的产品。
审批程序
2005年7月起实施的《地理标志产品保护规定》对地理标志产品保护的申请与审批程序作了详细具体的规定。
申请与受理
地理标志产品保护申请，由当地县级以上人民政府指定的地理标志产品保护申请机构或人民政府认定的协会和企业（以下简称申请人）提出，并征求相关部门意见。申请保护的产品在县域范围内的，由县级人民政府提出产地范围的建议；跨县域范围的，由地市级人民政府提出产地范围的建议

申请人应提交以下资料：
1、有关地方政府关于划定地理标志产品产地范围的建议。

⑵产品名称、类别、产地范围及地理特征的说明；
⑶产品的理化、感官等质量特色及其与产地的自然因素和人文因素之间关系的说明；
⑷产品生产技术规范（包括产品加工工艺、安全卫生要求、加工设备的技术要求等）
⑸产品的知名度，产品生产、销售情况及历史渊源的说明；
4、拟申请的地理标志产品的技术标准。
出口企业的地理标志产品的保护申请向该辖区内出入境检验检疫部门提出；按地域提出的地理标志产品的保护申请和其他地理标志产品的保护申请向当地（县级或县级以上）质量技术监督部门提出。
省级质量技术监督局和直属出入境检验检疫局，按照分工，分别负责对拟申报的地理标志产品的保护申请提出初审意见，并将相关文件、资料上报国家质检总局。
审核与批准
国家质检总局对收到的申请进行形式审查。审查合格的，由国家质检总局在国家质检总局公报、政府网站等媒体上向社会发布受理公告；审查不合格的，应书面告知申请人。有关单位和个人对申请有异议的，可在公告后的2个月内向国家质检总局提出。
国家质检总局按照地理标志产品的特点设立相应的专家审查委员会，负责地理标志产品保护申请的技术审查工作。国家质检总局组织专家审查委员会对没有异议或者有异议但被驳回的申请进行技术审查，审查合格的，由国家质检总局发布批准该产品获得地理标志产品保护的公告。
