二战经典战役之波兰闪电战
1939年9月，德国对波兰发动了代号为“白色”的侵略战争。战争中，德军首次成功实施“闪电战”，显示了坦克兵团在航空兵的协同下实施大纵深快速突击的威力。一个拥有3400万人口，100多万军队的国家，就这样在短短的一个多月的时间里灭亡了。第二次世界大战由此爆发。

基辅会战是第二次世界大战中最大的包围战，也是战争史上规模最大的一次围歼战。整个战役持续了两个半月以上，在正面300公里、纵深约600公里的大片领土上进行。苏联方面军持久而顽强的斗争，对打破德军“闪击战”计划起到了重要作用。使德军在向莫斯科方向的进攻上受到了阻碍。德军赢得了在斯大林格勒发生的战争史上最大的歼灭战，却失去了发生在莫斯科的战争史上最大战争的胜利。

1941年12月7日， 日军对美国太平洋舰队的海军基地珍珠港进行的一次空袭，击毁了美国全部战列舰。珍珠港战役在战术上非常成功，但在战略上却犯下了致命的错误。它的不宣而战激怒了美国人，从而使世界上最大的军事强国加入战争。

柏林会战，1945年4月16日—5月8日，在第二次世界大战的苏德战争中，苏军实施的最后一次战略性进攻战役。战役于1945年4月16日发起，先后突破奥得河、尼斯河防线。25日又对柏林形成包围。苏军在对柏林的强攻中采取多路向中心突击，经激烈巷战。柏林战役苏军共俘虏德军38万人，缴获坦克和自行火炮1500余辆，飞机4500架。苏军也付出了30万人牺牲的高昂代价。5月9日，受希特勒继承人邓尼茨的委托，德军最高统帅部代表向苏联及盟国正式签署了无条件投降书，第三帝国宣告灭亡，二战欧洲部分胜利结束。
