1、來源與用法
clothes一詞直接源自古英語的claas，意為衣服。
clothes的基本意思是「衣服」，是各種衣服、服裝的總稱,指具體的衣服，而不是抽象的著裝，可指上衣、褲子、內衣、外衣，也可指特殊場合的服裝。
clothes是復數名詞，單復同形。
clothes前可用my、 your、his或the、these、those、a few、other、much、a great deal of、a good many修飾(謂語動詞用復數)，也可用a pair ofclothes、a suit ofclothes修飾(謂語動詞用單數)，但不可用數詞修飾。
